This is how we carve pumpkins....

Mommy buys a kit...Daddy sticks them in!

Easy, and no mess and super cute! However, I was sad to see when we opened Jack's Pirate pumpkin set, someone had taken the eyes out and the ears and replaced the arm with the same one...so he's kind of "home made"...I guess. Oh and I am still deciding on a costume for my son.

Yes, the same son that I planned his birthday for 6 months, and I've waited until the last minute to find a costume. It's hard because he isn't "into" anything big yet. He loves Mickey and Barney (which I REFUSE to let him wear)...but he has NO clue who Batman, Robin, Spiderman, Thomas the Train, a UPS man, etc. are so it's hard. And some outfits are so girly, his Daddy would kill me....so stay tuned for Friday!

Mommy is a 'witch' (of course), Daddy is 'frankenstein' and Jack is the 'pirate'...or should I say, our pumpkins!

P.S. I HAD to buy this sweatsuit today at BRU for $2.50! Gotta love buying things late, procrastination does pay off sometimes...see Mom! AND the pants have a tail!

Mommy's Night Out!

My wonderful hubby and son bought Mommy tickets to go see Rascal Flats & Taylor Swift for my birthday!! I am so excited and can't wait to see them both! Since Jack's Aunt Cici does so much for us, hubby and I decided Cici should go with me to the concert...so it's Mommy's Night Out!

We are both so excited and I can't wait to report back my wonderful time!

P.S. Jack and I went today to try on bridesmaids dresses...Miss Mandy and "Uncle" Drew asked me to be in their wedding and boy was I excited to say the least...I love a wedding and love that they think I should be a part of their big day! Thank You Aunt Mandy and Uncle Drew!! We love you guys!!

Love, love, love....

Nilla Wafers...

I know this is a strange post, but Jack and I were just sitting here eating them and I hadn't had them in years...unless they were in Mom's 'Nana Puddin'! But man oh man, they are good...not sure of the nutritional content, but who cares for a snack right? {WRONG...I just haven't looked yet!}
Anyway, I am trying to have a creative home...trying to clean up and be neat around in the different rooms, all these different blogs are so inspiring and it makes me want to make our house, "cool". I love our house, but it could use a 'fixin' up because it's been the same since we've lived here...minus adding the nursery and changing the office into another extra bedroom...but I love all the fall decorations that people are doing and I've been trying to "keep up with the Jones'" but I must admit, I am failing miserably! Oh well...I'm trying, I told Shannon that this Christmas, our house is going to look like Santa threw up in it! I am so excited and can't wait to start decorating for Jack's 2nd Christmas!! Yippee!
Hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday! We love you!

Congratulations Lorie & Trey...

Shannon and I went last night to Lorie and Trey's wedding reception, little did we know they snuck up to Gatlinburg a year ago 10-20-07 and got married then! I was in total shock, because they kept it a secret for a year and had their (or so we thought) real wedding on a Alaska Cruise in September! They did a great job of keeping a BIG secret, I know I couldn't have done it!! We had a great time and it was wonderful to see our friends! Here are some pictures...hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Wedding Bells Rang...

Four years ago today for my hubby and I! It is so hard to believe how fast time has gone by and we are so blessed to have our wonderful family! We spent last weekend in Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg celebrating our happiness and we had a fantastic time! Jack was terrific and loved swimming with Daddy in the 'baff' (bath)! Here are some pictures!
