Life is good today...

After countless attempts at uploading pictures to my blog and it taking F.O.R.E.V.E.R, I decided to go to scrapblog.com and make a page of "some" of my favorite pictures from 2010.

Enjoy.

New Year, New Blessings!

Well, it's been a super long time since I've "blogged"...and a LOT has happened and changed in our lives! We had a year of ups and downs, blessings and tribulations...all of which has made us an even stronger family with our faith in God.

With all that I "could say", I will just saw, God knows my worries, my fears and has held my hand my entire life and has yet to let me down.

My family is my life and I will always protect them, love them and support them...I'm so thankful for another year together and the memories we've made!

Thank you Lord for my blessings!!

A few highlights from 2010:
  • We got a new dog...a Great Dane puppy we named "Cash"
  • Jack turned 3, I turned 31, and Shannon turned 35!
  • I got a job teaching Kindergarten and I absolutely LOVE it.
  • Jack knows his birthday, right from left, how to spell his name and everyone has the same middle and last name as him! For instance our dog: Jack says his name is "Cash R. H." (if you know us, you know what the R. and H. stand for!)

That's all I can think of right now...I'll add more pictures tomorrow!!

The Easter Bunny CAME!!

I know I have said this time and time again...but having a child makes everything better.
I never imagined waiting for the Easter Bunny to show up could be so fun! The Easter Bunny has come every year since little man has been on this earth...but now that he's getting older, holidays are SO MUCH FUN!
{{And this is the first year he's come back to hide the kids eggs once he was done delivering goodies...isn't that cool!?}}
We spent the night at Nana and Papaw's house so we could get up easily for chuch and head out. I love going to church with them now with Jack. It was the church where I first heard about Jesus, it was my childhood, family church. It is nice to be back there, a lot has changed, but the message is still the same. Its nice to be grounded each Sunday isn't it? Anyway, we enjoyed the rest of the day with eating a wonderful meal at my Aunt's house, a visit from the Easter Bunny, playing outside and eating LOTS-O-CANDY! ;)

Jack had an amazing time and I hope they only get better each year to follow. He sure made his Mommy and Daddy proud.

My Lucky Charm

He's adorable, he's small and sweet.
He's simply a joyous treat.
He loves me, he makes me smile.
For him I'd walk a million miles.
My Lucky Charm.

OH How could I?!?

Dear Dr. Seuss,

How could I post about junk food on your 97th Birthday? Please forgive me. I love all of your books and think you had an amazing mind and creative soul. I thank you for making children smile with your words.
Jennifer

*I love me some Dr. Seuss...my room at school is decorated all the time in Dr. Seuss stuff. I wonder if he realizes how many smiles he puts on the faces of adults and children each day? Wouldn't that be amazing to know "you do that?" *
My all time favorite Dr. Seuss quote:
"I have heard that there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm ready you see. My troubles are going to have troubles with me!"

Snow Day ='s Eating Day

All little man and I have done today is snack, snack, and snacked some more! Here is a line-up of what we've had. My stomach is going to hate me later on tonight...and this is why I can NOT loose weight sitting at the house. Temptation is greater than my self control...why oh why can't I just SAY NO!? :)

We started off with this from SONIC this morning on our way home from the county courthouse where I had to go sign our Property Tax check...yes, I'm the idiot that sends a check in the mail without signing it!

Then...

Funyuns are probably my oldest and most favorite snack. I absolutely have loved them for longer than I can remember...but what is the best thing about them...my son loves them too! We can finish off a bag in a day, that is why we only have them every once in a while. A bag in our house is not a good idea!

Then we moved to one of these a piece, which could be worse, we shared a package of 2...but we did that yesterday too. They are soo good. And also brings me back to my "childhood" and remembering all the different holiday cakes Little Debbie comes up with!

After nap time, we had some of these...which are also a no-no to normally buy because they are usually gone within a day or two with Jack and I eating them!

It is so easy to be unhealthy and just eat junk. And so hard to be constantly "dieting". But I figure a day a week to "cheat" and eat junk is ok. If not, I'd fall of the "diet wagon" way worse! I have tried to do so good since Jack was born and have lost over 80lbs. but it is like a yo-yo. Some days I feel huge again, and other days I can fit in my "skinny" pants.

Blog Slacker

I've have been a blog-slacker.
I don't know why...I get on here and always check on everyone else's "spot" in blogland...but just never enough motivation to write anything.
Life has changed so much in the last few months. Some leaning towards positive and some leaning towards negative. However, in the midst of it all...I have come to realize that I am blessed. No matter what happens, who hurts us, who helps us...I'm just blessed. I can lay my head down at night, Thank God for my blessings and close my eyes and know that I am trying to be the best person I can be with no regrets and a clear heart and soul. Isn't that what life is about anyway?
I have a wonderful, loving, supportive best friend as a husband who is also a fantastic father. I have a beautiful little boy who is now 29 months old and who is the most amazing little thing ever. He is such a joy and has honestly made our life complete!
I finally finished with my M.Ed. in December, and luckily landed a job in January! I am teaching Reading currently to some amazing (56 total) 2nd Graders!! I love watching them gain independece and learn new things everyday, they truly make "work" so much fun! This position is just interim, and ends in June...but I'm praying something else will open up just as quickly as this one did. It is nice to have a paycheck after being without one for over 2 years!!
And here is another pic of my sweet little angel! He is just too smart and says somethings that shouldn't come out of a 2 year olds mouth! It is hard to discipline a child when you are fighting back laughter AND tears *because its so funny!* Does anyone else have that problem...I'm sure you do!! ;)

Oh...I got a tattoo!
